About GHC
In Loving Memory of
Che-Ngwa Gandhi
A Brief History
Gandhi Health Care is a private career school approved by the Maryland Higher Education in 2004 in Honor of the Late CHE-NGWA GANDHI. For the past 29 years the Gandhi family has suffered a vacuum as a result of the tragic death of their beloved father, husband, uncle and brother who passed away as a Martyr of democracy in Cameroon West Africa. Mr. Gandhi was a great athlete, an intellectual with a master’s degree in business administration and Management. He was a caring, kindhearted and loving gentleman.
He had a great passion for assisting the underprivileged children especially orphans who had no body to fund their education. His life on earth was very brief (36yrs old), but full of so much ambition to pass on his knowledge and athletic skills to the younger generation, nurturing, inspiring, encouraging and empowering them to reach their highest potentials. Unfortunately, he could not realize his dreams before the almighty God called him to eternity.
To accomplish Mr. Gandhi’s dreams and continue his legacy, the family came up with the idea of starting up a training institution in his honor. With the support of very close family friends, well-wishers and his wife being a registered nurse and his very smart, respectful and energetic children, a training school for allied health providers was set up.
This institution started with an assisted living facility for the homeless and disabled. With time the training of Geriatric and certified nursing assistants, Pharmacy Technicians, Dental Assistants and Nurse Support Technicians; donations to the under privileged families. Every year the Gandhi Foundation gives donations to the Soup Kitchens, Women’s Crisis Centers, Homeless Shelters as well as individuals who request for help when we are able to provide such help. We are looking forward to having more donations from individuals, families and other associations to be able to meet our goal.
